The Asus UL20 12″ Windows 7 thin and lightweight laptop falls into the new category of laptops that falls between netbooks and normal laptops. They are compact and light weight, consume less power and at the same time have reasonably wide display screen.

Powered by Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 – 1.30 GHz – 800 MHz FSB – 3 MB L2 cache processor, this lightweight laptop weighs just 3.74 lbs. The external dimensions of the laptop are 11.7 x 8.8 x 1.1 inches. The main memory has a capacity of 3 GB and the hard disk, 320 GB. The 12.1” TFT Widescreen 1366 x 768 pixels display is bright but glossy.

There are Wi-fi and Ethernet connections for internet and LAN respectively and also 3 USB ports. There is no built in CD/DVD drive like most netbooks. In addition there are integrated stereo speakers, 1.3 MP webcam, 5 in 1 card reader, headphone and microphone ports. The Li-Ion battery lasts up to 8 hours under normal usage. Windows 7 Home Premium runs this laptop. ASUS provides standard 1 year warranty for the laptop.
