Advent’s latest model, the Altro Elite is a smart thin laptop which combines a slim and elegant look with the latest in functions and features. The thin laptop is powered by the Intel® Core™2 Solo Processor ULV SU3500 (1.40 GHz, 800 MHz, 3 MB Cache) which is a low-voltage processor. The laptop has a 4-hour battery life and burns 40% less energy than other models. The model comes with a genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium that is pre-installed. It has a 3 GB RAM making the model capable of running multiple demanding applications simultaneously. There is also a 120 GB hard drive, providing ample space for one’s personal files. The model comes with anti-shock technology which protects the hard drive from sudden knocks.

PC world took us by surprise with the launch of their first net book, the 4211. Soon a revised version Advent 4213 was offered in the market in the small and inexpensive PC category. Advent 4213 was the first to come with mobile broadband connectivity as a standard feature. Available in two sleek colours of grey and silver, the basic specs of the machine are similar to any other in the market. The packaged 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor is perfectly designed to run in the small framework.

The Advent 4211 ultra portable laptop is light in weight weighing only 2.5lbs and thin (1.1in thickness) and affordable. It has a sleek and elegant design and looks similar to MSI Wind but at a lesser price.

The lightweight laptop is powered by Intel’s newest and smallest Atom Processor N270 with a CPU cycle of 1.6 GHz. It has a memory of 1 GB SDRAM which is good enough for Windows XP Home Edition OS. The hard disk capacity is 80 GB and the laptop is wireless enabled making it ideal for surfing the net. The ultra portable laptop does not have internal CD/DVD drive.

The Advent 9212 laptop costing about £500 gives good value for money. It is lightweight weighing only 4 lbs and thin (1.2 in thickness). It is sleek, elegant and ideal for work or study.

The laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450 with a CPU cycle of 1.66 GHz. It has a memory of 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM which is good enough to load Windows Vista into the machine. The hard disk capacity is 160 GB which is quite large compared to its peers and can conveniently store many music files and images.
