With sleek and sturdy aluminium body, Dell Vostro V13 is ultra thin (only 0.7 in thick) and weighs just 3.5 lbs. Powered by Intel Celeron 743 (1.2GHz, 1MB L2 cache) processor, the Vostro V13 has 2 GB main memory and 250 GB hard disk. The 13.3″ diagonal LED-backlit HD (1366 x 768 pixels) anti-glare display puts out sharp images. For external connectivity, there are Wi-fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and optional mobile broadband. But there are only 2 USB ports and no internal DVD drive.

Dell has released new upgraded version of its popular Inspiron 11z laptop with 4 different configurations to choose from with varying processor speed, main memory, hard disk capacity, battery etc. The high end configuration is reviewed here.

The new Inspiron 11z cheap Dell laptop is powered by ultra low voltage Intel Pentium SU4100 processor (1.3GHz/800MHz FSB/2MB cache). The main memory is 2GB, DDR2 RAM and the hard disk has a capacity of 250 GB. The display is 11.6” LCD Panel High Definition WLED with 1366×768 pixels resolution.

Featuring the latest Intel Core processors, the laptop has four configurations to choose from with varying processor, main memory, hard disk capacity etc. and costing between £499 and £699 (inc. VAT) to suit wide consumer tastes and pockets. The full High Definition display brings videos to life with amazing clarity. The audio is excellent with JBL sound card and optional SRS Premium sound audio.
