Dell 13z Perfect Laptop For Power User Home and Away?

Dell 13z laptop in the Inspiron series uses Intel’s ultra low voltage (ULV) processor with low power consumption. Available in attractive black and cherry red colours, the lightweight laptop has sturdy build and matte surface finish that hides small scratches and dust. The 13z laptop is available in 3 variants with different graphics processors and hard disk size. The lowest end model is reviewed here.

Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor ULV SU4100 (1.30GHz, 2MB, 800MHz) drives the laptop that has 2 GB RAM and 250 GB capacity hard disk. Unlike many netbooks, this lightweight laptop is provided with internal DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD). The screen is 13.3″ WLED High Definition (1366 x 768) TFT Display with TrueLife but its reflective surface makes it a little harder to see the images when outdoors.

It is powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 ((2.16 GHz, 667 MHz, 1MB Cache) processor with 3 GB DDR2 RAM and a spacious 250 GB capacity hard disk.

The outer dimensions of the laptop are 14.7 x 9.6 x 1.48 inches and it weighs 5.8 lbs. Apart from the DVD rewriter and memory card reader, the laptop features 34mm Express Card slot, headphone and jacks, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet port, VGA out and Wi-fi 802.11 b/g connection. The display is glossy 15.6in WXGA 1,366 x 768 resolution screen with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Dell 14z Cheap Laptop Review

Dell 14z laptop is the latest from the Dell stable with 14.0” high definition display. The laptop is available in black (base price) and red, blue, green or purple for an additional £25 payment. One of the prominent features of the laptop is that the configuration is highly customizable be it the processor, main memory, hard disk capacity, display, no. of cells, Bluetooth etc.

The laptop reviewed here is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, with 5GB 1067MHz DDR3 SDRAM, and 500GB 7200RPM hard drive. The screen has14.0″ High Definition (720p) LED display with TrueLife. External connectivity is well served with Dell 1397 Wireless G Mini-Card for wi-fi, Dell Wireless 5530v Mini-Card for Verizon or AT&T for mobile broadband as well as Ethernet LAN.

Cheap Dell 11z Laptop (Pink, Green, Red, Blue, Purple!)

With 11z, Dell has introduced the lightest and thinnest laptop in the Inspiron series. The laptop weighs just about 3.0 lbs and is only 1.0 inch thick. Powered by Intel Celeron 723 processor (1.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB Cache), this cheap laptop is available in 3 different configurations with better processor, memory and hard drive. For connecting with outside world, this cheap laptop has wireless connectivity like internal WiFi, optional Bluetooth or optional mobile broadband. In addition there are 10/00 Ethernet LAN, 2 USB ports and a shared USB port. An integrated 1.3 MP Webcam and good quality stereo speakers are also provided. Further an HDMI connector for video and audio output and a 3 in 1 card reader are also part of the system.

Dell Vostro 1220

Dell has now launched a new version in their premier laptop series, the Vostro 1220. It is a very handy 12.1 inch laptop which is intended for people who look at their pockets.

The weight of the Dell Vostro 1220 starts at 3.36 pounds. Its facets are Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray Combo drive.

The screen comes in two different varieties – True Life and LED backlight with anti-glare view. Both of these screens come at a resolution of 1280×800.

Pink Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook

The Pink Laptop, the Dell Inspiron Mini has built-in WiFi connectivity. 10.1 inch widescreen which has a display that allows us to view websites without having to scroll left or right. You can watch your favorite TV shows using the internal digital TV tuner. This laptop is really nicer looking than the Mini 9, and more compact than the Mini 12. Dell calls it the Perfect 10. It has the very unique multilink track pad but is a little less intuitive. The buttons are pushed into the corners, so a middle press is not enough. On the other hand, it’s useful as besides the usual zooming and scrolling, laying three fingers on the pad brings up a slick little launcher screen. And of course it’s a pink laptop!

With the release of Dell’s Adamo series ultra thin laptops, the MacBook Air laptop of Apple has another competitor now. The outer dimensions of this lightweight laptop are 13.0 x 9.5 x 0.65 in, and it weighs just under 4lbs (with AC adapter). The design is stylish with beautiful aluminium body and rugged construction. The Dell Adamo Admire small laptop is powered by 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 processor. The main memory of 2GB, 533MHz DDR2 is enough to load Windows Vista operating system. The secondary storage 64GB Samsung Solid State drive, makes the lightweight laptop sturdy with ability to withstand shocks better. The Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics processor offers good performance for everyday use but a shade slower than MacBook Air.

The display of this small laptop is a 10.1in LCD widescreen with a pixel resolution of 1024X576 which is less than normal and is set to become the new standard for netbooks. There is no built in CD/DVD drive for this lightweight laptop but there are 3 USB ports for external drive connection.

The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 small laptop is well equipped with Integrated Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11 a/g card for Wi-fi as far as external connectivity is concerned. There are also 1.3 MP Webcam and stereo speakers that provide good audio quality. A 3 cell Li-Ion battery powers the laptop which is good enough for about 3 hours of normal use. The OS is Windows XP Home edition.

The Dell Inspiron 1318 small laptop is highly portable with outer dimensions of 12.5 x 9.4 x 0.98 in and weighing 5 lbs. The laptop is powered by Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390 Processor (1.86 GHz, 533 MHz, 1 MB cache) and has a main memory of 2GB DDR2 RAM. It is enough for running Windows Vista OS comfortably.

The small laptop has stylish looks and is available in attractive colours. The 160 GB hard disk storage is sufficient for most day to day applications. For long term storage, the laptop has an internal DVD Rewriter. The graphics is handled by Intel Integrated X3100 Graphics processor which is not fast enough for modern high speed games. The display is 13.3in TrueLife widescreen which is truly impressive.

With the release of Inspiron Mini 9 laptop, Dell has made its maiden entry into the mini laptop market. The overall dimensions of this ultra portable laptop are 9.13 x 6.77 x 1.25 in, with thickness varying from 1.07in in front to 1.25in at the rear and it weighs just 2.28lbs. It has an access panel at the bottom for easy upgradeability.

The lightweight Dell Inspiron Mini 9 laptop is powered by Intel Atom N270 Processor (1.6GHz, 512KB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB) and has main memory of 1GB 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM. The secondary storage is through 16GB Solid State drive, which makes it sturdy being able to with stand shocks better. The graphics is handled by Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 950 which is satisfactory for normal use but not fast enough for high speed games.
