Toshiba Satellite L450D-13X small lightweight laptop is a quality laptop from Toshiba stable fit for everyday use. It has a bright and clear 15.6” HD LCD display and is available in silver cover and black keyboard.
The small laptop is run by AMD Sempron SI-42 Processor with 2.1 GHz clock speed, 1800 MHz HT (hyper transport bus), and 512 KB L2 cache specially designed for notebooks. The external dimensions are 15 x 10.5 x 1.5 inches and it weighs 5.7 lbs. It has main memory of 2 GB and 250 GB hard disk.
Toshiba, one of the leaders in laptops, has released a cheap version in NB200 netbook. This attractive looking netbook is thin (1.3 in maximum thickness) and lightweight (just 2.9 lbs).
The small Toshiba NB200 netbook is powered by Intel Atom N280 (1.66 GHz, 512 MB, 667 MHz FSB) processor and has a main memory of 1 GB RAM and hard disk capacity of 250 GB. The 10.1” screen has WSVGA TDT display with LED backlight and a pixel resolution of 1024 x 600.
Toshiba has released its first lightweight laptops using the Intel CULV (consumer ultra voltage) processor through the T110 and T130 models. Apart from the processor which reduces power consumption, they also feature Toshiba’s unique Sleep-and-Charge technology that allows multiple devices to charge even when the laptop is switched off. In addition they also have Toshiba’s special 3D sensor for HDD protection, which by detecting free falls, shock or vibration, locks the hard drive to prevent loss of valuable data. It’s fairly cheap too.
Toshiba’s T130 lightweight laptop is powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor SU4100 (1.3 GHz, 800 MHz, 2MB Cache) and has 4 GB RAM and 250 GB hard drive. The laptop is ultra thin with the thinnest part being less than an inch and weighs 3.9 lbs. It is available in pleasing red and white colours.
Toshiba has introduced T110 series of small laptops incorporating the latest ULV Intel processors that give long battery life of up to 9 hours. They are both lightweight & compact and highly portable.
Available in 2 colours of Glossy Black, and Iron Red Metallic, the Toshiba T110 small laptop has dimensions of 11.25 x 8.3 x 0.98 ~ 1.48 inches and weighs only 3.5 lbs. Powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core SU2700(1.3GHz, 800MHz, 2MB Cache) processor, they can be operated in power saving options giving a battery life of up to 9hrs.
By introducing the Satellite NB100 Netbook model, Toshiba has entered the ultra lightweight laptop market. The external dimensions are 8.8×7.5×1.3 in and weight only 2.2 lbs which make the laptop very handy. The 8.9in (diagonal measurement) Trubrite WSVGA display panel has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
The main memory has a size of 1GB and the lightweight laptop is powered by Intel Atom 1.6 GHz N270 processor. The memory is enough for loading Windows XP Home Edition Operating System. The Toshiba Serial-ATA 5400RPM 150GB size hard disk is a luxury for a netbook.
The Equium U400-124 lightweight laptop is part of the Equium U400 range of ultra portable, sturdy and sleek laptops from the Toshiba family. It is well built and shock proof with magnesium alloy chassis and padding. The overall dimensions of this highly portable laptop are 12.4 x 9 x 1.1 ~ 1.4 in and it weighs just 4.2 lbs. The display is 13.3 “Trubrite WXGA TFT active matrix with a screen resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels.
The processor used is Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 1.83 GHz with memory 2048 MB DDR2 SDRAM. The hard disk has a capacity of 160GB. The ultra portable laptop has an integrated Intel X3100 graphics card with 358MB video RAM. The optical storage is through DVD Super Multi (Double Layer) drive DVD+/- RW drive.
The Satellite U200 (known as U205 in U.S.) laptop from the Toshiba family is ultra portable, sturdy and has sleek looks. Its air pocket cushioning and padding provides protection against shocks and vibrations. The magnesium alloy chassis gives it strength being at the same time lightweight.
With dimensions of 11.6 x 8.7 x 1.4 in and weight of just 4.1 lbs this Toshiba laptop in the Satellite series is highly portable. It has 12.1″ wide screen with active TFT matrix and a WXGA screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which is on par with comparative models.
