Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop
Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop (also known as the Inspiron 15) is a budget notebook from the Dell family. Available in attractive black, blue and red colours, the laptop has solid build and stylish look. It is powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 ((2.16 GHz, 667 MHz, 1MB Cache) processor with 3 GB DDR2 RAM and a spacious 250 GB capacity hard disk.
The outer dimensions of the laptop are 14.7 x 9.6 x 1.48 inches and it weighs 5.8 lbs. Apart from the DVD rewriter and memory card reader, the laptop features 34mm Express Card slot, headphone and jacks, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet port, VGA out and Wi-fi 802.11 b/g connection. The display is glossy 15.6in WXGA 1,366 x 768 resolution screen with 16:9 aspect ratio.

The graphics is handled by Intel integrated GMA4500 graphics processor which is good for day to day use but not as good for gaming. The 4 cell Li-Ion battery lasts about 2 hours under normal usage which is not much. The OS is Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium Edition and Dell provides standard 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.
To summarize, Dell Inspiron 1545 is an affordable family laptop with good audio but may not suit gamers and the battery life could have been longer.
