Expert Review:

Dell Adamo small laptop
With the release of Dell’s Adamo series ultra thin laptops, the MacBook Air laptop of Apple has another competitor now. The outer dimensions of this lightweight laptop are 13.0 x 9.5 x 0.65 in, and it weighs just under 4lbs (with AC adapter). The design is stylish with beautiful aluminium body and rugged construction. The Adamo is available in 2 models: the lower end Admire and the slightly higher end Desire models. We review the Admire model here.
The Dell Adamo Admire small laptop is powered by 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 processor. The main memory of 2GB, 533MHz DDR2 is enough to load Windows Vista operating system. The secondary storage 64GB Samsung Solid State drive, makes the lightweight laptop sturdy with ability to withstand shocks better. The Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics processor offers good performance for everyday use but a shade slower than MacBook Air.

Dell Adamo small laptop
The display is 13.4 inch LED display (1,366×768 pixel resolution). Like its peers in the ultra thin category this small laptop has no built in CD/DVD drive though an optional USB DVD drive port is available.
The Adamo lightweight laptop is well served regarding external connectivity with Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth network cards and an optional inbuilt 3G modem for mobile broadband. There is also a 1.3 MP webcam and this small laptop is powered by 6 cell 40WHr Li Polymer battery which is good for about 4 hours of normal use.
All in all, for a price starting from £1649, the Dell Adamo lightweight laptop is a luxury for most users and there are other options available in the market.
