Dell V13 Vostro laptop
Dell has introduced a cheaper version of its Adamo laptop in Vostro V13 lightweight laptop. With sleek and sturdy aluminium body, Dell Vostro V13 is ultra thin (only 0.7 in thick) and weighs just 3.5 lbs. The laptop is available in 3 different configurations and the lowest version is reviewed here.
Powered by Intel Celeron 743 (1.2GHz, 1MB L2 cache) processor, the Vostro V13 has 2 GB main memory and 250 GB hard disk. The 13.3″ diagonal LED-backlit HD (1366 x 768 pixels) anti-glare display puts out sharp images. For external connectivity, there are Wi-fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and optional mobile broadband. But there are only 2 USB ports and no internal DVD drive.

Other features of this cheap laptop include integrated webcam, speakers, stereo jacks, microphone jacks, 5 in 1 card reader, and 34mm Express card. The 6 cell Li-Ion sealed battery lasts about 2 and 1/2 hours only under normal usage. The Operating system for the model reviewed is Windows 7 Home basic edition though higher end versions are also available.
