Dell has now launched a new version in their premier laptop series, the Vostro 1220. It is a very handy 12.1 inch laptop which is intended for people who look at their pockets.
The weight of the Dell Vostro 1220 starts at 3.36 pounds. Its facets are Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray Combo drive.
The screen comes in two different varieties – True Life and LED backlight with anti-glare view. Both of these screens come at a resolution of 1280×800.
Dell Vostro 1220 also holds features such as an integrated 1.3 MP web camera and a microphone, one speaker, WIFI connection, optional mobile broadband and WIMAX card, a Gigabit LAN port and a 56K modem, optional fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module, three USB ports, an Express Card slot and a 3-in-1 media card reader.
It comes in two hot colors – Obsidian Black or Deep Cherry Red. 4 or 6 cell batteries are used in the laptop. As stated by the PC maker, the 6 cell laptop gives 9 hours of battery life.
This laptop is ideal for students as well as business persons who require more processing power than a normal netbook. It has the added benefit of being small in size and easy to carry. Windows Vista or Ubuntu Linux OS usually accompanies the Dell Vostro 1220. Its starting price is $800 and it is easily available at all leading stores and the online Dell SMB store.
