The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is an ultraportable lightweight laptop aimed at business users. It is one of the first ultraportable business machines to sport a second generation 2.5GHz Intel i5-2520M processor and consequently performs brilliantly.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 has a tidy and compact design with an improved keyboard with larger keys than earlier X-Series laptops, making typing a pleasure. Designed with business users in mind the supplied battery is quoted as offering up to 9 hours usage per charge and up to 16 hours is possible with an optional battery add-on.
The ThinkPad X220 includes all the regular wireless connections and 3 USB ports but unfortunately there is no built in optical drive, Lenovo opting to sell an external attachment separately. If you’re looking for a solid performer that will allow you to work for hours on end and is extremely portable then the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is definitely the laptop for you.
