The Samsung N130 mini laptop is one of the 2 lightweight laptops released recently by Samsung Corp. (the other is N140, being the premium version). The stylish laptop has matte finish and rounded edges. It is compact and light in weight.

Powered by 1.6-GHz Intel Atom Processor N270 which is designed to be energy efficient, the lightweight laptop has 10.1” LCD display with LED backlight and 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The 93 percent full size keyboard is comfortable to use as also the 2.5 x 1.4 inches touchpad. The RAM size 1 GB upgradeable to 2 GB and the hard disk is 160 GB 5400 rpm SATA.

Like other netbooks of its class, the Samsung N130 has no internal CD/DVD drive. For external connectivity it is provided with Wi-fi and Ethernet with 3 USB ports. In addition there are HD audio speaker, microphone, headphone jack, 3 in 1 card reader, and VGA out. The 6 cells Li-Ion battery lasts for about 7.5 hours under normal usage. Windows XP Home edition is the operating system for this mini laptop. Samsung provides standard 1 year manufacturer warranty for the laptop.
