Expert Review:
With the NC10 small laptop, Samsung has introduced a compact and portable laptop with most of the contemporary features at a reasonable price. It has an ergonomic design and sleek look with matt finish
The10.2 in backlit LED display has a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. The images are non glossy, sharp with good contrast. The near full sized keyboard is comfortable to use with sturdy keys. The touchpad is somewhat small in size with dual click mouse button.
The Samsung NC10 small laptop is driven by Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.66 GHz) with 533 MHz FSB. The main memory has a capacity of 2GB RAM 667 MHz DDR II. It is more than sufficient for Windows XP Home Edition OS. The Intel 945GSE Express integrated graphics chip is good enough for most graphics intensive activities.
For a laptop of this size, the NC10 has generous 160 GB HDD SATA 5400 rpm hard drive but there is no built in CD / DVD optical storage. As far as external connectivity is concerned the small laptop is well provided for with Bluetooth, 10/100 Ethernet, Atheros 802.11b.g Wifi and 3USB 2.0 ports.
One of the highlights of the Samsung NC10 small laptop is its long life of over 6 hours under normal usage of its 6 cell Li-Ion battery. Samsung offers 1-year collect and return warranty (including parts & labour).
To summarize, the Samsung NC10 small laptop has many impressive features which are available at an affordable price.

Probably the best piece of IT kit I’ve ever bought! little bit of lag when viewing webpages over wifi.

The Toshiba L300 ST2501 cost $30 more than the Samsung but has almost twice better/faster hardware. The upgradable harwar can go up to 3X as faster harware. The Toshiba has a 15.4″ LCD and a built in DVD/ ROM. The only things the samsung has over the toshiba are BlueTooth, Size, and portaility.
