After the success of Q35 and Q45 lightweight notebooks, X22 is the latest ultra portable laptop from the Samsung stable. The laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 2.4 GHz processor and has good external connectivity like its predecessors. The aesthetically designed laptop has a curvature and matte quality finish that gives it a sleek, low profile look.

The14.1in widescreen Ultra sharp display has a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The glossy coating on the screen provides high contrast and brightness but suffers from reflections. The keyboard and touchpad are well laid out for comfortable use. The 4GB RAM main memory has enough space for Windows Vista OS while the hard disk has a generous capacity of 320 GB which would suffice most needs. In addition the DVD Super Multi Double Layer +/- RW drive serves as a backup.

The external connectivity of this lightweight notebook is taken care of by Intel 802.11a/b/g wifi card, Marvell 88E8055 10/100 Ethernet LAN card and Bluetooth V.2.0. In addition there are 3 USB 2.0 ports. The graphics is handled by ATi Mobility Radeon 2400HD processor. There are D-SUB (VGA) output and HDMI for connecting external VGA monitor and HDTV respectively.

The Samsung X22 ultra portable laptop has an optional HSDPA slot for inserting a SIM card and linking to the net via mobile network.
